Welcome!
The impact of anxiety on our ability to function and maintain quality of life can be profound. Fear and worry can lead to significant avoidance, which can take more and more of our time and ability to engage in the things that should bring us joy. Or the endless cycle of worrisome thoughts can keep us from being able to be present in our day to day lives. In children and adolescents, anxiety can interfere with school functioning or may cause disruptive behaviors. The good news is, these disorders are treatable. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure & Response Prevention are evidence-based interventions and are widely considered to be the most effective treatments for OCD and other anxiety disorders. We specialize in the treatment of these disorders using CBT & ERP and are committed to helping those with anxiety work to build the tools and understanding necessary to overcome these disorders.
"Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change"
We have specialized in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) for the last six years, including completing certification through the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute. We work with adults, adolescents and children and have seen many clients struggling with the impacts of anxiety. CBT and ERP are powerful treatment modalities and we consider it a privilege to work alongside our clients as they learn about these tools and put them into action to create real and lasting changes in their lives.
Relief truly is possible, but to get there you need the appropriate tools. No matter where you may be on your journey with anxiety, therapy is undoubtedly the most powerful tool you can access. An important part of the therapy process is to begin by helping you to better understand your anxiety, both in how it functions and how it is maintained. We offer and encourage 15 minute phone consults prior to meeting in order to establish therapeutic fit and to learn more about your therapeutic goals. We look forward to talking with you.
